Dr. Marc Lalande holds the Physicians Health Services Chair in Genetics and Developmental Biology at the University of Connecticut. He is a professor and chair of the University’s Department of Genetics and Developmental Biology, and senior associate dean for Research Planning and Coordination at its School of Medicine. He is also director of the University’s Stem Cell Institute.
Lalande received his PhD from the University of Toronto. His research interests lie in the role of epigenetics in disease and development, including control of gene expression in stem cells, and genomic imprinting and its association with neurogenetic disorders.
